Debug Beta Release
I'm about to work up a special release of MultiLJ with some debugging tools in it. I have a couple of users in mind for it, but if others want to try it, it will be available on the download site. Specifically, I will be addressing the following problems ( Read more... ) -
New version just uploaded
I just uploaded a incremental upgrade of MultiLJ today, so you might want to check it out. The most immediate change you'll notice is support for colored Friends Lists (though once you've set a color choice for a Friend, you'll need to go to the LJ web site to change it - I'm still working on the edit code). Because he just wrote a long post in his personal journal and lost it due to a "Server Error"...
There seem to be several glitches that I'm experiencing that I want to fix before I consider MultiLJ a 1.0 product, but I don't know if it's just me or whether other people are getting them too and just not saying anything.

What the...?
I was just messing around in MultiLJ, and happened to hit Help. Now, I'm running Vista, and I should get a message from the OS indicating that that the provided help won't display.
That's not what happened. My Help file came up.
Could anyone who is running Vista report in and let me know if Help is working - in theory, it shouldn't, but I'd be ( Read more... ) -
Considering a new release
At least, I've been playing around with some new code over here, and at the moment, it seems to be holding together. New in the coming round will mainly be some bulletproofing regarding error trapping, since MultiLJ does seem to get goofy signals from the LJ server a lot, as well as some minor bug fixes. With an apology toward the seven of you...
...who downloaded the .NET 3.5 Framework from my site, it turns out that the MultiLJ installation will automagically take care of that detail for you if you don't have the Framework installed already. ...so I'm releasing MultiLJ for beta-testing.
The download can be found on the web site whose link is on the profile page for this community. Any feedback is appreciated, as I'm sure there are a few things to be ironed out yet, between the program, the Help, and the installation. -
Wrapping things up
So far, so good... I'm touching up minor bugs here and there and at the moment, I'm resigned to the fact that Help won't work in Windows Vista - not my fault, frankly, Micro$oft changed its Help format when it released Vista. About the only thing I'm not completely happy with (that I'm going to fine tune) is that the authentication into the LJ web ( Read more... )
