MIssed you.

I barely remember how to write anything anymore except bullet points, contracts, and facebook status updates, so I apologize for letting my LJ (and twitter) languish away.

I'm fine. The birthday was full of love, even a surprise visit from Adri, although I bounced from clique to clique, I didn't get to see much of anyone. However, we succeeded in an 8+ hour party, havin to move to a second location com about 5:30am. Things got a little foggier. then. But hey, you know, once in a while it's ok to let go.

Meanwhile, getting ready for Nationals. I do realize that while I've changed many things in my life, my city, my home, my work, I still am pretty cut off from my physical body & heart. I can't believe I'm still under wraps two years later, still a lesson to learn there. I don't really mind, except for my vanity ... when you live in your head, struggle to survive for months and have zero structure in your life, it's uh, kind of hard to take care of yourself. So lie to me, tell me I'm beautiful when you see me. I begin to see possibilities, a light at the end of the tunnel, a life which really is all I want.

But meanwhile? There just hasn't been much to say. I'm working hard at my job, and I love it. Event production is definitely where I need to be -- everything from contract review to equipment research to asking people for multi-thousand dollar sponsorships... when you believe in the project it's all easy, and doesn't really feel like work. Throw in one of the best casual working environments with smart, freaky people; watching movies all day long.. and it's, uh, what I've been doing for the past three years anyway, right? Might as well get paid.

In my down time, savoring alone. Still working, other projects, soon to see the light of day. Slowly making friends, the kind that will last a while, and getting closer to my new slam fam. Hiding from 40 days of 100+ weather, just like hiding from 40+ days of 10- weather back home. I've broken my heavy depression, and found a fair amount of joy.

Boring, Huh? I'll take it. Hopefully I'll find something to write about soon. Nats usually does that for me. See you soon.
