Public update on my health condition

Sep 27, 2009 22:21

I was asked tonight why I haven't put this up on Livejournal -- fact is, I needed to keep my latest health care journal a little more monitored, but now I've pretty well gone public with everything that's going on, and I realized I haven't fully shared everything with this community. Forgive me. It's been a crazy three weeks ( Read more... )

Hey there,

About two years ago, I moved back to Buffalo and by pure chance read a post you'd put up on an lj group there, and asked you to meet with me to talk about opportunities to find film work there. You did. You were awesome. You invited me to a freaking party two weeks later or something like that.

It is horrible and shocking and hard to hear about someone who offered up so much to someone for so little reason having to go through this, but if there's one thing I've learned from reading your journal the last couple years, it's that you are one strong person.

Let me know if there is anything at all I can do to help from waaaaay far away in NYC. All my thoughts are with you.

xx

Rachel

I totally understand.

You've had plenty of this on your plate already. I'm happy to know you're thinking of me, and thank you.

I made cookies, but they got stale waiting to go to the Post Office because I have been so hectic. I'm sorry. I feel like maybe I will send you the recipe instead, or the dry ingredients so all you have to do is add butter and eggs and stick them in the oven.

You are beautiful and wonderful and so so loved. I am lighting candles. I am crossing fingers. I am believin'.

Re: Alternative Options multimediagrl September 29 2009, 13:40:56 UTC
Hi dear. I'm considering (and utilizing) LOTS of alternative options, actually, including Yoga. :) I'm trying to get some benefits together to raise funds for them to continue. What I'm doing right now is:

-- Acupuncture (donated by a Hospice volunteer)
-- Yoga (3 classes in my home given by my former boss)
-- Dietary changes (major) -- seeking a nutritionist, including supplements
-- and I'd like to seek a fitness expert as well.

I've researched Gerson and other alternative therapies as well, which are meant to be full alternatives, not support during conventional treatment, but if you have any further ideas, please, by all means backchannel me at multimediagrl at hotmail. Thanks, love.
