it's like the time somebody had "printer problems" and they called me to say the yellow ink wasn't working

i was on the phone with them for a good amount of time telling them to check their ink cartidges and run tests and whatnot

and at the end she goes "oh... you think the yellow paper has something to do with it?"

AGGGHHH!!! brain fry!

That makes me smile.

I can't say why such an irritating play of ignorance would make me smile, but it weirdly reminds me of my mother and all the times she'd call me up horribly upset because the computer wouldn't turn on and ,in all actuality, she had forgotten to turn the monitor on.

Good times. Good times.

Of course you can, just use your will power to force those ip packets across the air and to the Internet.

Being the technical realist that I am... One could actually send email using Outlook without an internet connection.

However it would require for them to have Exchange server installed (and configured) on the same computer that they are using outlook on and plan on only emailing themselves.

Or they could get fancy they could setup up their own intranet on a LAN without an internet connectionm.

But considering the type of question being asked I don't think they could get that far.
