Today I was minding my on business walking to the corner store downtown, listening to Cake Bake Betty, when  suddenly...and alarm went off. It didnt seem like a fire alarm, it was more just this resounding extremely loud alarm.

This got me quite worried.

Because you see, everywhere in this town there are signs that say

"If You Hear An Alarm....

and potassium iodide does NOT protect against radiation poisoning, just from radioactive isotopes of iodine (one of the most common during a fallout crisis) reaching the THYROID. thus, taking potassium iodide will help to prevent only thyroid cancer (the MOST treateable of cancers).

however, it is IMPOSSIBLE for iodine to prevent radiation entering through the skin (eek) and LUNGS (shit).
