a politician's wife who has multiple sclerosis

I'm grateful to clms1 for telling me that Mitt Romney's wife Ann has MS. Here in Britain, we get a lot of news coverage about American politics but I don't always follow it since I have no vote there. Anyway goofle has just led me to this. Some of that site's links may be interesting.

news, politics, adapting to ms

Also, in what I think is also something that is worth mentioning is that President Obama's wife - Michelle Obama...her father had MS. She describes a very different view of MS than other celebrities or politicians that talk about "overcoming" or "beating" MS. Video link below of her interview on David Letterman...the part that impacted me the most is that she says that she "never knew her father to be able to walk". Definitely more powerful than "I'm a Survivor!" talk that you hear everywhere else.

Yes indeed. Thank you for this link. My MS is making me anxious just now (psych referral underway) and it does help to see a sensible attitude from somebody who knows what it's really like.
