On our way out from the wedding I made sure that we walked to this site. It's right on the edge of the park, right near where John Lennon and Yoko (I think?) lived. (Does she still live there?) I'm betting that all of my journal friends know what it is.

When I took this I was particularly thinking of Devonne!
Hopefully she knows

Yoko does in fact still live in the same apartment in The Dakota, and apparently has more than one.

Even if you're rich, you have to have the approval of the co-op board of the building to be able to live there. Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith were rejected together, as were Gene Simmons and Billy Joel individually. Thee and me can just forget it.

The article attached to this said that when John was alive, he and Yoko owned five apartments. One was to live in, one for guests, one for an office, and TWO FOR STORAGE! I wonder how big the two storage-apartments were.

Yes I remember how sad it was when Jona Lennon was shot. The place they made ia a good way to honour John Lennon. I have the song Imagine in e CD.

Why did you think much of Devonne when you were there?

Peek-a-boo!
A while ago, we were driving along central park when we came onto the Dakota building.
I rolled my window down, while leaning out and waving, I yelled, "Hi Yoko!!!!"

Stan was a little amused/embarassed.

It's interesting to see where John Lennon ended up as a few weeks ago I went on a Beatles tour to Liverpool and went to the Beatles Story exhibition, Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields and such and also to their childhood homes which were modest to say the least. John's home was a slightly better class than the other three's which were quite rough really. Even so, John's home with his auntie Mimi was just a small semi-detached house. He'd still be alive today, I expect, if he still lived there.
