Ah, the rest of their house is fine, and this was a currently unoccupied bedroom, so not a big deal, except that it will probably be a long wait to get fixed given how busy the insurance companies are, you know?

Oh, and there was a landslide down the side of Kings Park! That was what I forgot to mention in the original post.

My drive home tonight was ridiculous. I am no stranger to driving in horrid conditions (I thank years of driving in blizzards and snow storms) but the other people on the roads...ya, they scare me. I was driving up Wanneroo Rd near Two Rocks and I could see about 1 metre in front of me. I was doing about 50km/h and idiots were passing me! There were trees down all over the road (one narrowly missed my car) and these idiots were driving like it was a clear, dry, sunny day.

And just think, they are calling for storms again tomorrow as well.

Yeh, I have friends in some areas of the US that don't get a LOT of snow, that reckon that's what it's like when it does snow there - drivers either freak out and do silly things, or ignore it and do silly things!

I grew up in an area that gets a lot of snow. I mean so much that it would come up to my knees after a really good storm. We got idiot drivers but I found that people actually took it easy. Here they just drive like they would in normal conditions. I don't know how the hell they do that when there were lakes across the roads, mudslides and trees everywhere.

Apparently the ceiling at my work caved in this afternoon. Good times tomorrow!

Oh my, glad you are okay. That is horrible about the library and the hospitals. Hope your parents are okay. Flooding is the worst. We just went through it last week with the horrible storm. Hope it all dries up soon.
