So my grandma's side of the family has this thing against nicknames, or even shortening the name of a family member. James was never Jimmy, John never Jack or even Johnny, Richard, Horace, Etheline, etc, all the full given name. James is totally wrong. Something "worthless" doesn't by definition have to have been worth something once. "Worth less" maybe but that seems like a different thing altogether.

Yeah, I kind of thought his logic was a little off on that one. But that's ok, because he's a gnome. Seriously, wait until I post a pic of him. He's very, "Loooook around, there are maneee thiiiings to seeee . . ."
He also uses "discussion" as a euphemism for sex, which he talked about an awful lot for an 86-year-old retired minister.
