Too much misinformation

I have just watched last nights episode of insight that is on sbs. and I am horrified about the amount of misinformation given to woman about birth

Yeah, that is kind of scary.

"why bother having a baby to just dump it in day care so you can go back to work and not spend any time with a baby."

It's not really that simple. Some women *have* to go back to work after they have their baby, as my Mum did (though I wasn't in childcare but rather cared for by a neighbour during the day while Mum was at work). Some feel that if they waited until they could afford to stay home with a baby it would be too late for them to have children at all. It's a hard choice for many women and it's not helpful to pass judgement on them.

I agree some women do have to go back to work my beef is more with the ones that just done want to be at home.
They like the idea of having kids they just dont want to put in the hard yards when it comes to raising children.

It seems a bit unfair that people often think that makes a woman a bad mother but they don't think that behaving in exactly the same way makes a man a bad father.

I probaboly should clarify that I agree with you, I was just ranting about the sexism of the world in general.
