Steph had been really really nervous before they left, but once they were in front of Chrish's house, she was getting excited. And by the time Victoria came out the door, she was relaxed into Mummy-hood again.

"Baby!" she said, bouncing a little too, "We ARE here." She flushed just a little about Tuesday, but scooped Victoria up. "Mummy had a bad BAD day that day and so I stayed home instead of making your day bad too," she said with a grin. "I want you to meet someone," she said, turning toward Sweep. "This is my boyfriend. His name is Sweep."

Sweep was nervous, very nervous. He hung back a little as Victoria came out, smiling a little as Steph introduced them; "Hey kiddo," he said softly, his smile getting wider as he tried to remain cool. He knew how much of a big thing this was for Steph and he hoped that Victoria liked him.

Victoria hugged her Mum tight. "Were you trashed?" she asked, her sweet little voice sounding extremely odd saying the words, "was Aunt Becky high?" Then turned to Sweep. "Hi!" she said, reaching her arms out for him. Call it her own little test. She liked hugs.

Steph flushed a little more, but laughed. "Honestly? Yes I was. I'd had a rough day and got a little tipsy, so I didn't want to come see you while I was. That's better, huh?" She smiled as the curly-head bobbed in agreement. "AND, munchkin? I've got really happy news. Aunt Becky hasn't gotten high in a whole MONTH. She's doing SO SO good."
