Easiest way to do it is to travel back in time, bury something precious (precious NOW, to be precise) somewhere where it won't be disturbed, and then dig it up when you return to the present. The "precious now" part is important, because there are things that are more or less valueless in their home times that can thus be acquired cheaply and easily - it doesn't work so well if you travel back in time and bury gold or diamonds (they have increased in cost, but they're still considered precious then, so they're harder to get your hands on).
