The Maple Manor apartment in Norfolk Virginia looks like it could be the best apartment for me next year. As of now, I’ve spent well over twelve thousand dollars on the amenities of my dorm and meal plan alone at Hampton University. My face when I saw a bill  just for rent online:

Basically I wanted to curl up and cry because WHAT is this nonsense. The tuition is already kicking me in the face and not even apologizing. It's not even apologizing. That's right, the tuition is a rude jerk. Anywho, as I was saying, or getting at, the room is a piece of crap. It's like that room that they almost demolished to remodel, but decided "WHY DON'T WE JUST LEAVE IT, NO ONE WILL NOTICE 8D" That decision has led to a moment of 'what is my life' and 'are you joking what is this, seriously'. It's just ARRGFdkfslf

I
I ultimately feel spoiled for wanting a nice, clean, sanitary room. I mean, Moton Hall has cold water, no heat, and more roaches.

I feel blessed.

Okay, just kidding.

The fact that a two bedroom apartment is $725 a month, about $360 split between two people, it’s a huge deal. The most attractive part to me is the controlled access because, honestly, I’ve never lived in this region and can’t feel safe no matter how hard I try to do so. Additionally, the carpeted floors, on campus washer and dryer, and air conditioner are huge factors. Also, internet access.

Do you even know what I have to go through to get internet access? First, I need a fifty foot Ethernet cable because, gods-forbid, that there would be two outlets on each side of the room let alone wifi like everyone else out of the dinosaur era. On top of that, it's slow as all getout. This post has frozen about four times already. It really makes me want to punch something. In this instance, I wouldn't mind the crunch of my fist.

But seriously, back to the most important point. I can’t imagine a single person would want to come inside from being drenched in the rain only to sit in a nasty and mildew-y room crawling with water bugs and roaches. That’s right; roaches. I’ve pushed one  out of my room because the thought of it crunching beneath my fist made my stomach turn. That sentence made my stomach turn.

All I want is a dry place to study/eat/sleep/procrastinate. Is that too much to ask that my tuition go somewhere useful. Oh, and don't even get me started on the fact that this campus is completely run on
steam. I bet this is what you're thinking right now. No, I really bet it is.

LOL NOPE.jpg. Yup, sounds cool and green and whatnot until you experience the downsides of that.

Even though that this apartment is a huge distance from my campus, I am more than willing to commute every single day for the sake of not getting West Nile Virus form all the mosquitoes that live on just my floor.

Thanks for reading!~
