Well, here's a thought. Young people who peak too soon in their lives in terms of achievement and social fulfillment tend to spend the rest of their lives wandering for that next big adrenaline rush, which may or may not happen again.

Either this girl has started of on the path of over-achievement and will be a person to secretly hate forever, or her literary career has peaked and she will forever be the 14-year old who published a book.

That's up to her parents. Because, hey, she STILL lives with her parents and she can't travel to far off places without an adult.

Yay for adult independence.
