#83 - the 100 for 20muses.

I'm not usually into 20in20 challenges, but the inspiration post at 20muses was so amazing that I had to sign up. My claims were The 100 and The Shannara Chronicles originally, but I couldn't make the Shannara caps bend to my will, so I changed it only to The 100. As a part of my new year resolutions, I focused on text and also tried some more complex

Such pretty icons! As always your colouring and use of text is amazing. I have to say that I really love the softness and lighting in 24 and 27 of the alts- just so incredibly stunning. And I also just love the whole feel to 29. It's so intense and the colouring gives the icon such a haunting and old look that just only adds to the emotion of the moment.

The colouring and lighting and use of brushes in 2 and 9 is stunning, I love those two icons so much and I cannot wait to use them. I also love 1 and 3. Great use of the text and just- the background use is so amazing without it ever distracting from that what you try to capture. Absolutealy beautiful.

I actually thought to scrap 2 and 9, I wasn't completely satisfied with how they turned out, but I was too lazy to make new ones :D And I'm glad that I kept them in the end! :D

These icons are making me want to start watching the 100! They're all so colourful and I love the compositions of #4 and #11 :D

you should definitely watch it, the first 4-5 episodes are bad, but after that it gets better and better! :D

I tried to pick favorites;

3 and 4: Perfect composition and colors! I love your text skill!
6: I love the way you painted her hair!
7: Stunning text again!
11: Very amazing levels idea and the contrast and the lighting are beautiful :)
13 and 17: I love the blending on the background and text! (AGAIN)
19: The mood of the icon is stunning and the composition, blending are fantastic!

I will take 3 and 4. (even thought my favorite ship is Bellamy&Murphy :p), 19 :) Will credit if I use them =)

It's my favourite show at the moment, so I just HAD to :D I focused mainly on the girls this time, because they are all amazing and this show has the best female characters! And tbh I was too lazy to search for specific caps and Murphy doesn't get much screentime, so I saved only a few caps of him :D And there is always next time right? :D

These are fantastic! I think your David Shillinglaw icons are my favorite ones of all. You can really see how clearly his work inspired your icons. The composition in 4 is great coupled with that wild text use. I love the composition of 13 even more. The combo of natural coloring on her and monochromatic blue coloring on him works beautifully together, and I like how it's framed by the text. 17 also has beautiful purple hues and, again, the composition is fantastic

I tried to include as many artists as possible, but I definitely most enjoyed working with David Shillinglaw as my inspiration and these icons ended up as my favourites from this set as well.
For #3 I planned on using yellow borders to bring out the tet, but I already had used so many borders, so I ended up with brushes instead :D
