Can your Mom in law invest in someone to check on kitty more frequently or a vet check to make sure there's nothing that can be done medically to calm kitty down?
She's at the point where she's just done. She's been having problems on and off, and can't put up with it anymore. Trouble just isn't a cat that can stand being alone for larger stretches of time. Trouble was used to Dad in law being home with her all the time, so now the cat is upset, and has been for awhile. It *is* sad, because now mom-in-law will be over there alone, too. She really likes the cat, but can't take anymore of the emotional peeing. It's not a bladder infection, the cat is upset. She peed this time in ma's luggage. And ma's leaving for Disney with her grandson in about a week, so she's not going to have the cat alone, she's said the cat has to go. Preferably to a good home. I have one of the folks at caturday who might be taking her. We're waiting to hear from him.
