Well, my LJ is back somewhat, I suppose.
kuriichan tossed this one at me.
If your life was a movie, what would the soundtrack be?
So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing; for extra cool points, add descriptions.
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool...
Opening Credits
Whistle Down the Wind - Tom Waits
"Well I can't stay, and I'm scared to leave, so kiss me once and then... I'll go to hell, I might as well. You're whistlin' down the wind." *violin solo*
Er, more like an ending, but it would work for a very sad film?
Waking up
Absolute - DJ Taka (DDR OST)
LOLLLLL my secret fetish for DDR music comes out. >___> Well, its very energetic and techno-peppy, so I guess it works for the start of a busy day?
My Theme Song
Awe of She: Dizzy's Theme - Daisuke Ishiwatari (Guilty Gear X OST)
Wow, I'm VERY flattered. Its an instrumental made up of choral interludes and death metal that represents an extremely overpowered, scantily clad boss character. I'm naked and badass!
First Day of School
Guardian - Michiru Yamane (Castlevania; Symphony of the Night OST)
Err, whut? A very sophisticated, epic classical-type piece. I guess it works because adults always said I was more mature than other kids at that age.
Falling in Love
The Real Folk Blues - Yoko Kanno (Cowboy Bebop OST)
"It's too late to cry I love you. The wind still blowing, my heart still aching"
Hey, hit that one perfectly considering I have such a hard time expressing love of any sort.
Fight Song
Remember Me - Leslie Parrish (Inital D OST)
"I feel you so close to me, I hope you still think of me. Even though you've found another love."
Yeah yeah, I hate Inital D, but someone sent me some of OST which I actually find myself enjoying. >.> Anyway, sounds like it was meant for the next one.
Breaking up
Three Libras - A Perfect Circle
"I threw you the obvious to see what occurs behind the eyes of a fallen angel, eyes of a tragedy. Oh well. Apparently nothing. You don't see me. You don't see me at all."
This works pretty well for "irreconcilable differences"... Its such a heartbreaking song.
Prom
A Christmas Song - Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds
"I came to shed a little light on this darkening scene. Instead I fear I've spilled the blood of my children all around."
Uh, its a sweet, non-proselytizing song about the life of Jesus. No dice. Unless its telling me not to have sex on prom night.
Life
The Sky Lit Up - P.J Harvey
"And this world tonight is mine, a world to be remembered in. Think on a faded photograph, my hair longer than its ever been."
Does it work for me? Not sure... it doesn't really reflect my attitude. But I have long hair!
Driving
Highway Blues - Marc Seale
What the hell? I didn't even know I had this song and I have no clue where it came from. But its a jazzy instrumental, and the title fits... Sounds like a good song for a long commute.
Flashback
Tongue of Uncertainty - Manorexia (J.G Thirlwell)
This is an instrumental that seriously creeps me out. Its just some strange sounds echoing in darkness and the sound of wind chimes. It would work nicely for a flashback in which I saw something truly horrible happening.
Getting back Together
Let's See If That's True Or Not - The Pillows
Hrm, I don't know the English lyrics, but it has a harmonious flow to it, and sounds a bit reconciliatory. Maybe for a "test" period to see if a relationship will work?
Wedding
Pink Floyd - Us and Them
"Me, and You. God only knows its not what we would choose to do... Up and Down. And in the end its only round and round."
Wow, I guess it'd be good for a wedding if nobody there gave a shit about it. Sounds pretty bleak.
Party
Sad Moon - Yoko Kanno (Wolf's Rain OST)
Hrm, an instrumental of sad beauty with lots of violins. Doesn't work at all... Unless its the kind of party you have before pulling the plug on a loved one where you pull out lots of photo albums and cry.
Death Scene
Fuuga: Anji's Theme - Daisuke Ishiwatari (GGX OST)
Its the theme of a fruity, ripped japanese guy who fights with fans and fancies himself a poet, done in electric guitars and keyboards. Well, did I die doing something dangerous and fun?
Funeral Song
Terrible Thought - Poe
"A terrible thought has moved into my mind. A giant rat that's nibbling on my pride. It's tearing away my patience and my wit. I must take proper measures set a trap for it."
Maybe the reason for the funeral was me losing a battle with suicidal thoughts?
Ending Credits
Sinistrals Battle Remix - Game Music Finland
Uh, whut? Its a remix of the last boss music in the SNES game Lufia 2. Hmm, it sounds like it might be a good thing to go out on if you're planning a sequel though. It has a certain "never give up!" quality to it.
Fun fun!
