I'm glad you were able to be with him during his last moments, as much as my heart goes out to you for having to experience that. Watching my precious white parakeet die the same way was a terrible experience, but would have been all the more terrible if I had had to know he had died alone.

I miss you, Sam. I'm up in the bay area now, too (Castro Valley), and I'd love nothing more than to get in contact with you again.

So sorry for the loss of your beloved pet. :( I commiserate in the deepest sense, and I know exactly what you mean when you describe the way it happened. Our cat, Shadow, of roughly the same age (14), died last month, and I was glad to be with him as well in his final moments.

Good to see that you're still alive and well :) I wonder, do I even have your e-mail address anymore?? Have I copied you on any of my mass e-mails lately? If not, please give it to me once again. We must catch up!
