well it has been awhile since i've updated the ol' lj here. so let us now take a look back at the birthday highlights of recent times.
the 4th of july aka the 22nd annual anniversary celebration of monique's birth:
i'm sorry to say that the rain ruined the slip n' slide and volley ball action plans. however, we did still get to watch the fireworks from the deck on my roof, so not a complete loss. there was also a late night walk down to the pier where derek, brad, tyson, and kevin jumped off and swam to shore, despite me strongly advising against it. then back to the house for some champagne induced dancing followed by a water fight and then finally a nice pillow fight to complete the night. so all in all my birthday party rocked.
the 5th of july aka my birthday:
jess, alexis, and i went to village inn for some breakfast before jess and i beached it up with sarah. then sarah and i went to harry's for some appetizers and a few nice bevys. there was the most awesomest (ok that was sarcarstic) guy singing and playing guitar, ricardo. he asked if it was anyone's birthday and sarah raised my hand for me. then he proceeded to sing me a spanish birthday song. amazing. next sarah and i decided to really paing the town red and headed to a1a for a nice berry beer. next, to allstars where we met up with jason zahn who bought me my first birthday shot of the night. jason put on a mullet wig and wore my sunglasses and the three of us walked to scarlet's where sean forrest was playing guitar/singing. he made me play the drum, which i've learned that i suck at...but sarah is extremely well at drumming. he also sang me happy birthday along with some other great tunes (no sarcasm in that one). and finally we headed to trade winds to wrap up the night. by this time all of the birthday shots had caught up with me and i was a bit on the intoxicated side. so jason, sarah, kyle and i decided to get up on the stage that was there and dance. oh and there was also a band there who sang me happy birthday for the third time.
