I should just stay inside. A little while ago, I went to the post office. When I got back, I noticed a dead robin laying in the driveway in the area where the truck engine would be. I stopped the truck & got out to pick up the bird. It was still warm, bleeding a wee bit  from the bill. It was just barely into its flight feathers. Judging from the ( Read more... )

I think it simply isn't possible for a human to live without making some adverse impact on the environment. It's very frustrating. I hope you stop finding dead animals soon. Every once in a while I think maybe I should just give it all up and turn to subsistence farming, but one still needs land, a house, a water supply, a light source in winter, etc.

Heheee... I have no problem finding dead critters! I have a problem with my rash of killing critters lately! Dave & I considered homesteading, but we still like the stuff $$$ buys. As a compromise, we do eat only wild game rather than store-bought meats. And unfortunately, my home-ground wheat bread sucks ass. XD
