Work wanted me to.

They paid the $600 to get me into the class, and paid the $40 to take the test.

Just more things to add under my belt that shows how great I am at work.

Plus in my department we really need another Notary to...notarize...

DUDE, from the Calif. Sec of State's website:

Expanded Background Checks
All applicants appointed or reappointed as a notary public on or after January 1, 2008, must undergo a background check by the FBI as well as the California Department of Justice.

Now I'm thinking you should have laid off all that Ice Cream...j/k Grats dude!
