When was the last time you spoke to your mom? That kinda sucks cuz I remember we used to go out there almost every weekend and she IS an awesome cook. Better than my mom's cooking but shhh keep that on the DL ;) I guess it got much harder for you to visit when she moved.
BTW my dad has one of those little smokey pits like what you had and he improved on it by buying some PVC pipe and he made those into 'legs' so the pit would be a lot taller.
I love my gas grill. It's just a shame I don't have a private patio or balconey for it. I pretty much have to wait till Friday during the day if I wanna grill something without attracting attention. And I love my crock pot, too. Just get a big chunk of meat... Any kind, really. The cheap meat that's REALLY TOUGH is ideal because it cooks for so long it ends up so juicy and tender in the end! Cut up some onions, green peppers, put some Dale's seasoning, worsteshire and liquid smoke, add water, some Tony's and garlic powder and cook it all afternoon and you've got sandwich meat for a whole week!
yeah my mom is a pretty good cook I loce her food. And I think im gonna have to invest in a crock pot... sounds like you can do some pretty nifty things in one...
