Just saw "Mirrormask" at Park Lane with Brian. It was pretty good; certainly worth seeing, if you're into that sort of thing ("that sort of thing" being elaborate fantasy stories backed by a blatant moral meaning... the only other Neil Gaiman work I'm familiar with is Stardust, which I read in grade 10 or something... but he does some good shit; ( Read more... )

Mine is probably a happy medium.
I will be wearing lacey things and eating chocolate while polishing my gun collection and talking to myself.

Want to join me?

That sounds pretty fun.

I do like lace and chocolate. Not so big on the guns, but I have been known to talk to myself... all things considered, it sounds like a good way to spend the day.

Please come see my intro to Amélie in Alumni Hall tomorrow at 8:30! Even if you don't want to see the movie.

Hmm, is this movie open to the general public, or just Kingsfolk?

I have promised a showing of this movie to someone tomorrow, but if it was in a theatre of sorts, that would be even more impressive!

Hmm... tomorrow as in today, the 14th, right?

I'll try to make it, but I think I sort of have plans. Silly corporate holidays... always messing things up, aren't they?

Break a leg, though.

Son of a whore. I wanted to see Mirrormask so bad, I god damn love Neil Gaiman. You especially have to read Neverwhere and some Sandman, so very good stuff. American Gods id still fucking brilliant, and Neverwhere is a noveliztion done by hismelf of his BBC Television show of the same name, which I gotta see at some point.

Quick, let's get married, kay?

I think Mirrormask comes out on DVD today; you should definitely see it. It's amazing, visually. All sorts of ridiculous creatures and landscapes and buildings et cetera... good times. I like the Jim Henson people. A lot.

I'll certainly be checking out those other books... one of these days.
