I'm at King's; my internet at home is malfunctioning. It hasn't worked properly for a couple of weeks... the disintegration of my internet connection coincided with the installation of our new double-pane windows. I'm not sure if this is a coincidence. (Edit: reading this over, I realized that it's pretty ridiculous to say two things "coincided" but you're not sure if it was a "coincidence". Oh well.)

I've been working a lot of 10 and 11 hour days lately. I got myself a raise, but it wasn't pretty. Now I get an extra dollar every two hours. I guess that might be worth all the anguish, somehow.

I fly to Ontatio on the 18th and return to Halifax on the 28th. No big plans yet, except that my Grandmother might stay with us for christmas. I'm pretty excited about seeing Arden and finding out what his new catch phrases are. I might try to make it to Barrie or Toronto for a day or two, depending on who will be around. Please get in touch with me if you might want to hang out.

I've never been a huge politics junkie, but I'm actually pretty excited about the new leader of the Liberal party. I liked Dion from the start, and now that he's on question period and all over the media, I like him even more. Watching the leadership convention was pretty fun; it was like watching sports, except I actually cared about the outcome. I can see why people love betting on hockey games. I'll probably vote Liberal if I'm in a Conservative, Bloc or Liberal riding when the next election rolls around. If I'm in an NDP riding, I might vote Green.

I finally got myself a pair of good winter boots. People really do treat you differently when you're wearing nice, heeled boots instead of shabby white runners. Disappointing.

Also, The Edge is a good movie. Makes me want to go on a woodland adventure with Anthony Hopkins.

Apocalypto wasn't half bad either. It depressed the heck out of me, but it was good.
