Thank you. It has been a rough day. I just can't handle any more angst from fictional characters, characters I normally really like. I'm holding off on watching until the community (TWoP & LJ) let's me know it's safe to start watching again. I saw this was related to "47 Seconds" and thought, "oh, this is a bit more current than I'm ready for right now"... but you drew me in and it was good. Your story moved things forward for the characters without tying things up too neatly... just very very nicely. Thank you for sharing this with us.

This is so good. I especially focused on this part
"Thanks for bringing me coffee, Castle." Her voice shakes, too.

He looks at her then, his eyes on hers, and there's still anger and hurt but there's something else, too. "I always bring you coffee, Kate. I wouldn't just quit."

The hard knot in her chest loosens a fraction and all Kate can do is nod, but maybe, maybe there's hope that this day isn't ruined after all.

Brilliant fic. So much angst! My favourite part is where Kate's voice breaks on 'I need your help.' Sniff!
