I really love this story - you move between the humour and the emotional parts seamlessly. It made me laugh, a lot!

Re-reading it helped me survive a holiday with the in-laws this summer, though it was quite difficult to explain to my husband why I was snorting with laughter at the 'like Batman, but for ferrets' line!

That was so hilarious, I loved it. I laughed so much I had my teenage son wondering what was going on, and then he read the ferret parts of it too. I just love that it was Espo of all people that didn't like the ferret, and I loved the cat-burgler circus crime ring, and the caskett moments too. Very well done! :D
