wow your fic is beautiful. one of the best stories i have ever read. the brainwashing artifact is believable and interesting. how i wish the writers thought of this kind of storyline, very well written.

Your story was absolutely brilliant! I cried like a baby after the season finale so your alternate universe was especially welcome. I also have to say that I really like your explanation of Helena's nefarious behavior in season 2. It is the exact thing I wish the writers of the show should have done because I find H.G.'s actions at the end of that season to be somewhat out of character, unless you're willing to think everything she did prior to that was a charade (which I'm not). You're solution makes sense and would fit in well with the show's canon.
I also must commend you on getting Helena's voice down pat. The way she expresses herself is so idiosyncratic because it's slightly more formal and erudite then modern day speech that some writers can't quite pull it off. But you were spot on. Well done! You also captured Myka. Well, actually this whole story could have been a terrific arc on the show, it would fit right in with nary a change. So really a great job all around. Thanks for sharing with us!

Thank you anonymous! Wish I knew you were going to see my response. :) I agree that the end for HG was out of character, especially in light of everything she'd done previously in the season. I just wish the writers could have come up with a better way to redeem her than tragically giving her life for Myka (and Pete and Artie).
