Just wanted to let everyone who didn't know that Alan and I are in America visiting my folks and getting my fiance visa until the 1st of August! Just in case anyone has been trying to get ahold of us. We were so busy before we left that i think we forgot to tell some people. Flight here was a living nightmare (11 hours in the Newark, New Jersey

: ( It was a bit of a crap trip this time. Main purpose being getting my visa from the NY British Consulate, which i did after wading through loads of bureaucracy shite, but that meant extra traveling and bumbling around in NY for long periods of time killing time. And flying twice between NY and my parents house in NOVA. Had the most hellish airport experiances ever (remember big storms the friday before last? Our plane didn't leave NY for DC for 9 hours...this was after traveling on Air France for 12 hours with a layover in Paris...don't ever take Air France!) I was only at my parents house for a few days and then had no access to a car. :P So sorry i didn't get to see you guys...i really wanted to. I didn't even get to see my relatives (including my grandpa who is old and sick) like planned because the Visa people are bastards and only make appointments for visa's 2 weeks beforehand. Being that we got the tickets 2 months before, we planned for the first friday we were there to have the appointment...but it turned out to be only

No problem...sorry i don't post much anymore though...quite busy getting ready for my wedding in 3 weeks!

Sorry i didn't make it to Richmond, had to be in NY the last 3 days i was in the country to get my visa from the British consulate. Will post a LJ post soon about our experiances whilst in America...we really need a holiday from our holiday now! Miss you and hope to see you at some point in the future.

That's fine. You had to do what you needed to and that's understandable. At least we can keep in touch weather we see each other or not. Will have to say that NY is not my favorite place so I understand the pain... sort of. Post a pic or you and Alan so I can see what ya'll look like now.
