LE Suikoden V

Coincidentially, brother received his package of Suikoden V Limited Edition (JP version) around the time I picked up the US release yesterday afternoon. It was crazy.

I watched the premium DVD, and dragonmaster_x wasn't kidding on how good it was. It has every single OP intro for Suikoden (as well as the Gaidens), and the TV commercials each one had. In

and I only mean some of it, like the character art, because I don't expect everything XD

Character art isn't anything you haven't seen before, though, if you have the artbooks for past games. But each character screen in the menu has a mini bio for each and every star of destiny from I-V.

If I knew how to get region 2 DVDs to work on my DVD ROM, I'd rip the intros and TV commercials. ^^;

I can send scans, however, of the concept art / various portrait art for the Suikoden V characters, as those are in the thick artbook that came with the LE release. And I must say, Hero V and Georg looked like ass in their early stages. :P

However, I found the individual character bios somewhat lacking. I haven't actually read through every single entry though. There might be some hidden info in there; so I'll have to some time.

So how is the US release? I'm amazed that it's out after only a month. Did they totally cut corners on the localization or something?

The DVD was a preorder bonus for the Japanese release. If you preordered the Japanese version on or before January 26th, you'd get it.

It's actually not bad. Voice acting is pretty good. Especially the voice they got for Sialledes(sp). Good match up with Orikasa Ai's work. IMO, it's almost as if Orikasa Ai was speaking English well. :P The tone of voice and everything with the English voice is uncanny. :P

Although the win quotes do sound awkward. It just doesn't sound as good as when the voice-overs happen during story-line.

Hurrah! Nice to know we get substandard stuff again...Of course, I shouldn't complain. That we get stuff at all is amazing. ^^;

I hate to come off as pushy, but I'm curious...Will there be scans of some of the SV stuff in the JP LE? ^^; *hopes*

Yeah, I can do scans but I don't want to do it often since it's my brother's, afterall. I'll do it by character request, and in an f-locked entry.

Well, seems they've actually updated that photobucket account and added more since I last looked. Quality still ain't the greatest though, but the Euram portraits make me chortle.
