I've noticed for a while that I seem to be the one to attempt to start conversations with people online. With 2 or 3 exceptions, if I don't say 'hello' nobody does

Hey man, I'm sorry if this has anything to do with me today. I have been pretty scattered brained lately, but that's no reason to ignore you. I never intended to ignore you, I just didn't pay enough attention while I had people over at my house RL and also a few other people online. I won't come online in the future unless I can actually devote time to keeping up with people. Again, I'm sorry.

I hope I'm one of the exceptions!

There's always that dance of "Loggin on, good lord there's 20 people I know on, I'm going to get hit with talk", and then waiting to page folks.
