Right now, my company has the entire 5th floor of the building we're in.  Since there are a lot fewer people than there used to be, the plan is to move all of us in the north half down into the south half, thus saving a chunk of money.  It almost seems backwards that this means moving a bunch of people from the south to the north for a while, but ( Read more... )

Moving north to south? Consider it a migration for the winter.

The recycling company wouldn't want any of the parts, certainly, but they may want to dissolve the gold off of those tabs. Gold has gone through the roof since the recession hit.

I remember having one very similar to that... it probably used 5.25, the question was whether it was capable of the 1.2mb 5.25's or just the 360k ones.

It looks like it has connections for MFM encoded hard disks as well.

You should probably turn it over to the electronics recycling people.

An entire PC can have, I'd say, somewhere between $5 to $15 in gold.
