Having new living-space will be so cool. It's weird, I've been planning it on paper for months now, but seeing it come to life for real is just amazing.
The only thing more amazing than the extra space will be how quickly it fills up. :/ How will the new roof join with the existing roof? Hopefully there will be a fair bit of additional attic space.
Strawberries are IN, but the crop yield this year looks to be about half of what I picked in the previous two years--still plenty to eat and have a bit to freeze. 'Bout time, too; it's summer come a day early.
I'm still working on thinning out my collection of stuff -- mom and I get to blend households, so that makes for fun. Fortunately, her furniture is way nicer than what I've gotten over the years, so much of it can go to Goodwill. :)
Strawberries!! Got a half-flat today so I could make some jam or sauce. Yum.
I certainly am. Having new space with a level floor that doesn't make you feel as if you're walking through the fun house will be wonderful. Having a laundry room and pantry were we can tuck the cats litter boxes and keep everything clean will make all the residents of this home quite happy.
It was wonderful to see, and let me draw a nice full breath of relief that they were finally here in the correct order to pour concrete.
Having a mixer show up the day before when things were not ready was a tad worrying.
And some kind soul turned on the water that supplies the exterior spigot on the house so I could start watering my lawn. Were into the dry part of summer and my lawn went from spring green to parched in less than a week without irrigation. So now I get to drag hoses and sprinklers around the house for a while.
It's a relief to see the new structure starting to come into reality. It was hard to imagine it being done with the house torn apart and a big gravelly trench dug around the perimeter.

I can't wait to see the finished product - and I bet you can't either!
