Roofline

Oh my goodness, I actually have something up there that looks like a roof! This was the proof of my conceptual design -- that I would end up with a nice little peak over my old roofline and that it would look decent. Even though it isn't finished with shingles and siding, I think it looks good.

Wow, it does look good! And even bigger than in the last set of pics!

Yeah, isn't it weird how it keeps growing? But I don't mind at all. Now it looks a bit more substantial and "real" than the gravel pit and trenches stage. *bounces*

I'm assuming you already have plans in place for what goes into which room. ;)

Somewhat, but mom and I are still nebulous on what-all will go into our combined house and I'm sure serendipity will play a big role. Mom has great home-design sense and so as the new space becomes more "complete", I'm sure she will have good ideas on how we can arrange stuff for best living. Me, I'm a pretty hopeless "piler" and I'm trying to un-pile and keep things more in order. 0__o Not easy, but never too late to learn. :)

They're doing pretty well with it. If it gets too noisy, they tend to hide in the back rooms, but as soon as the workmen stop and I come home, they materialize and want to be fed and then they want to check things out. Same for the outdoor kitties. That feline curiosity. :D

I took some photos today of the picture window on the back wall. They are making the window sill big enough to hold some potted plants, which will be very nice. We thought about sliding glass doors, but opted for the window instead. We could put in sliding doors later if we really wanted them. There will be a concrete pad outside the back door, but any deck or full patio will be a job for another day. I didn't want anything too elaborate until we figure out where the garage will go. :)
