This week they pretty much finished the roof and switched from exterior to interior work. Quite a lot was done, but since it was done inside the house it is less-visible from the outside.
Was it a cute plumber? ;) It's nice they left a note apologizing for the smell. A lot of contractors don't.
I know about busy. I'm only taking a breather at the computer between cleaning out the granny flat (Timmy left some souvenirs, poor thing), packing and being invited to dinner with both sets of parents. Only about half a day left to get things done!
I'm not sure if he was cute, so far only mom has seen him... and mostly she saw the half not under the sink. :D
I figured you were hitting the "perfect storm" of busyness, too. I hope you have a great trip -- fly safely and have a great time at SDCC. Maybe next year I'll make it. I did some sketching during lunchtime, so maybe I'll actually get some IK visit done with weekend.
Aye, cleaning up after geriatric cats. My sympathies on every level you can think of. <3
I just spend some time scrubbing cat barf out of the bedroom carpet, for some reason the guys have been doing their thing in the morning when I get up. Ugh. 0__o Cats, gotta love 'em.
That's the plan -- bigger, with a second bathroom! Woo! Room for visitors! And cats. :D
Sable and S'mores have been quite determined to poke their noses into every phase of the construction. At least none of them walked on the wet concrete. *phew*
Thankies!! Sorry I've been such a stranger, been crazed with too many things to do.
So far the indoor cats have stayed in, and the outdoor cats have stayed out (mostly). Since they put the back door in yesterday, the addition is now a pretty weatherproof zone, which is cool.
Looks like the exterior work is mostly done, apart from siding installation and cleanup/landscaping. Has interior work begun? What's going on the floors? (I grew up in a house with concrete floors, through which pipes circulated warm water in the winter; living now in a house with slightly creaky wood floors.)
Sympathies for the cat barf. We mop that up quite regularly, too.
