Looks good! Did Greymalkin attempt to eat the boxes?

How neat to see the house taking shape like this.

Grey was very good and did not eat the box. Rum and Saki used to be cardboard-carnivores when they were kittens/young adults, but grew out of the craze (mostly). Grey is the sock predator. :o

Thanks! It's been fun to chronicle the whole process. I've learned a lot watching come together.

As Paula Smith once suggested to me: papyriphagous. Ours tend to be shredder-of-cardboard or shredder-of-sofa/carpet--and I'm sure someone will portmanteau a suitably obscure word for that, too.

Working on repairing a rotting fence; borrowing a post hole digger and discovering the joys of digging up buried treasure and slashing fingers on rusty nail ends--ouch.

Yes, they definitely used drywall screws - lots of them. I'm most impressed with the work, the young men really have a lot of experience and it shows.

That really does look good! And a lot more like a house. Good stuff!

Hehe, the cats' shenanigans are to be expected... they're cats, after all. :P

Yes, all of a sudden it went from looking like an open barn to a house with rooms. Very odd perceptual shift happening.

The cats keep me on my toes, and no lie. XD

Beautiful kitties, I must say. "Always on the wrong side of every door..." :)

Definitely! There's nothing quite like "cat help" in situations like this. :D I've got little chalky paw-prints everywhere.

Long as nothing dangerous ends up inside the cats when they groom, I suppose it could be worse. :)

I once drove a friend to the vet with her two cats for a regular checkup. The cardboard box she was using for a cat carrier wasn't sturdy enough, and I had one come up front and try to "help" me drive. I bought her two proper designed cardboard cat carriers to bring the critters home in...

Well, the stuff is technically chalk, so not too toxic. I'm probably getting as much exposure as they are -- bleh! They did spray-texturing on the walls yesterday, so I came home to a house smelling of latex of some sort. *Cough* Kept the windows cracked and fans running, which helped.

Eeek, cats loose in the car is NOT helpful. 0__o
