In your last year at school or after you've graduated and have a college degree, you can apply for the JET Programme. All JET participants leave during the summer of their applied year (usually July to August, but there is a late entry of April now). About six months or so prior to the due date, the online application will go up at the JET Programme website for your country. Complete the online application, the Statement of Purpose, transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc. and submit them to the address provided by the deadline. The online application must be submitted online AND in print though, so be careful.
The application itself has already closed for this cycle, but it should come out again sometime during the fall of this year for the next. Keep an eye on the website or look to the JET LJ comm because people obsessively post there when it starts getting close to the application release dates.
Did that answer your question? Or did I just spew nonsense. I CAN'T TELL.
