Funny how Shiavo's wishes went against the will of her parents too, and that her husband had no choice because when she went catatonic he threw it up to the courts to decide.
I also think it's funny that it was Shiavo's parents who urged her husband to start dating again. But then again, I’m sure you'd spend the rest of your life emotionally attached to a non-responsive shell of a human being.
I mean, it's not like he wanted her to die to keep all the settlement money, all of that was gone supporting her for this long. People offered the husband millions of dollars if he gave up the right to let her die. But he declined, he couldn't really accept it anyways because, as previously stated, it wasn't his decision.
What is vile is a president who pushes something that will keep 1 woman alive, while signing something (as a governor in Texas) that will allow plugs to be pulled on life-support babies against the will of their parents.
