It's been a couple of weeks since our (well-deserved) vacation, and I must say, it's good to be back. Well, not entirely. I, for one, liked the lens flares.
That damn movie had everything that I expect and love in a Star Trek film: time travel, a great villain, hot chicks, space battles (some of the best I've ever seen), and Spock.
By the way, did you love that Kobayashi Maru bit or fucking what?

Personally, had a bit of beef with the villian, but I found that the conflict was more centered around the bridge crew (which was fine by me!)
The whole lens flares bit was more of a knee-jerk reaction. When I watch it again, I won't complain, I'm sure. At the time I just felt it was a bit heavy-handed. Kinda like, "Look at this cool effect!...All the time!"
