Characters have secrets they desperately want to keep from each other -- and everybody has a motive. Someone will fall down and accusations will begin to ring out. Pointing fingers can be deadly, but so can silence. Will your characters survive? Are they the ones causing mayhem? Murder is a dangerous game to play.
THE MURDER GANG was created to establish a group of role players who could play out short-term murder mysteries. The genre of murder mysteries is rich and there are almost endless possibilities!
Every two to three months there will be a new murder mystery game. Some scenarios/locations that may be explored include (but are not limited to): gothic mansion, the Oregon trail, Nazi Germany, a bomb shelter in the 1950's, English countryside during World War II, English-Occupied India.
ON APPLICATIONS/HOLDS ETC
THE MURDER GANG is setup so that once you have first applied and gotten into the group -- you're in! The only way that you are removed from the group is failure to participate (or communicate that you cannot be involved) when you have taken on characters or breaking other rules. This ensures an incredibly stress-free experience whenever taking on new characters for each new scenario.
In order to have a diverse group of characters for each game, you do not 'hold' characters -- but a negative and positive personality type (and, optionally, an occupation). Once you have held the characteristics you may apply. If you are currently not a member of THE MURDER GANG you may be denied or asked for a re-write. If you are already a member of THE MURDER GANG you may be asked to do a slight re-write or take the character in another direction so that we prevent from having characters too similar to each other.
