Vance Corporation, the company behind 'Mom and Pop' VANCE HOME GOODS stores across the United States has been lambasted over the past few weeks due to rumors of atrocious conduct in their factories in China. Acting on the advice of his Public Relations squad, President Vance makes a decision: Everyone is going to China.
Vice Presidents, Heads of Departments, their assistants, company lawyers and even a motivational speaker are brought across the world on the company jet. Brought into the lush mountainside of Guangxi province and dropped off at the remote but beautiful 'Golden River' resort, the company comes together to make a plan to get through the bad press and prove that their company is only bettering the people of China. The eager-to-please staff is happy to help each employee and the resort begins to look like paradise, despite the fact that they can't reach the outside world by phone or internet.
The dream of paradise quickly melts away as one of President Vance's adult children falls dangerously ill. As soon as they try to rush them to a hospital, someone discovers that all the tires of the vehicles have been slashed. Yesterday it would have been easy to cross the bridge and get more help, but last night's storm has the river swollen to record proportions.
Is it merely chance that someone has fallen ill, or is there foul play involved? could it be one of the Vice Presidents, anxious to establish themselves as the next President of the company? Are the rumors of a mole in the company true?
Everybody has a motive. The murderer -- or is murderers? -- could be anyone. Keep your secrets safe, and don't trust anyone. Some will not make it out of the resort.
