Yeah. Even though I'm really enjoyin' all the lack of electricity and talk of Gods randomly switchin' up peoples' genders, I'm gonna be honest-- this place fuckin' stinks. Literally and figuratively. I ain't tryin' t'be ungrateful t'my host... uh... Makubikes... whateverthefuck his name is, but so far, my stay here's been like shit in a shoebox ( Read more... )

We'd always love to have you back at ShuRa, really, so that's an option for you.

What can I do there besides policing shit? Anythin' else?

Well, there's a few divisions. The General Investigations/Missing Persons Department, but that's not really something you'd be interested in. The Specialized Threats Operatives division, which focuses on specific threats here in Purgatorium (certain people, really). And then there's the Monster Control Division, which keeps the streets clear and citizens safe from monsters.

Huh... alright. Maybe. I'll keep it in mind. If I really was here before and was an employee with you guys, it must've been worth my while t'some degree...

Well, yes, sir, but I don't think there's a need for language, sir, since I was just trying to help you and all that.

But like I said, Mister Greed sir has jobs for his bar over here, sir!

Thanks a pile.

Anyway... liquor serves me. I don't serve it. Unless "Mister Greed" has a job where I can wring someone's neck on a weekly basis, I doubt s'gonna hold my interest very long.

...bex.

Leaving is really up to the whim of the gods. Once you've behaved for a month and have a job, you can go to the upper level.

I'm assuming you'll probably be welcomed back to ShuRa, but if you want something more... low key, I run a shop.

Right.

Upper level? Y'mean there's actually somethin' up there?

Low key is always good. What's your shop?

Yes. Another city. Safer, cleaner, more comfortable.

Kind of like a general store. We sell basic necessities, repaired items, etc. Employees do get a discount.

... and all y'have to do is behave for a month? That ain't bad.

Hm. Maybe.

If you'd get caught, then you must not be a very good thief.

S'fine with me. I don't aspire t'be a good thief.

Pfft. You should - it's a handy skill. Helps with sneaking around, too.

I ain't exactly the sneaky type. More the smash-through-a-wall-n'take-what-I-want type. Y'got any advice for that?

You can talk to them, yeah. They don't always respond, though.

I hope you find the answers you're looking for.

Have they responded to you?

M'pretty sure I will. Whether I like the answers or not... that's negligible.

I haven't tried talking to them yet. They're not really people I want to be messing with. I just kind of do my thing, and let them do theirs.

Did you want to see this jacket of yours that I have?

Talkin' ain't messin', unless you're a flat-out bitch. I admit though, I kinda wanna do the same thing. Jus' stay outta peoples' way, and get the fuck outta here.

I do. If it's really mine, I want it back.
