About being bullied a school. Don't hide in your shell, but become a star so bright it burns your enemies.
Just never forget that you won't instantly feel less crappy if you decide to shine, and that very likely the first period of time at least you'll be ridiculed for it.
True, very true. But if the options are being bullied and stay low are being bullied while trying to shine, well, one leads to indefinite bullying, the other to possible succes, or at least, that's what I think :-)
Not that that was my tactic in high school, but whatever. ;-)
There's only one solution to being bullied, and that is to never stop believing in yourself, and never start to doubt yourself because of other people telling you you're worthless. Your biggest defense against a bully comes from within. I stopped being bullied when I gained enough selfesteem to realize that I did not deserve to be treated like that (something I thought I did - I thought that abuse was okay because I was such a low and worthless person anyway) and that I would not allow anyone to treat me like that ever again.
And sometimes, it doesn't help. Then, all you can do is walk away.
Coming out of your shell isn't easy when people are throwing mental rocks at you the second you look outside. :\
