Okay, so everyone has to post news of a celebrity death as if the only information available on the internet is actually LJ... :P It's sad, sure, but why do 35 different people all have to make a post about it? I think everyone has a TV and access to news sites... if they dont, they probably dont know who he is anyway ( Read more... )

I think the same person that killed Bhutto killed Ledger. I like grapes.

I like grapes too! Green more than red.

I like 'em best when they're seedless!

Whoever invented seeds in grapes needs a good smacking. Green crisp grapes are the bestest thing in the world.

Okay not the best. But they're pretty great!!

No one writes a news article on THAT, now do they. :P

everbody's entitled to their opinion.
i accept yours but to many others he simply was a part of their life just because he was a celebrity and he was on the news and in magazines and whatnot.
the comparison may not be right, but what about diana? did any of the millions who mourned her, actually know her? no. yet they were sad about her death. and so they're sad about heath gone.

Diana did things to make the world a better place, she helped raise awareness for charities, and risked her life to save little kids from landmines and she was harassed by the media non stop which eventually led to an accident that killed her. That's sad when someone so helpful and thoughtful dies in an accident... The media doesn't harass Heath Ledger like that, he was boring and all he did was pretend to be other people... and didn't do it all that well :P

again, that's your opinion. he moved a lot of people with his movies, made them feel & dream, even if it was just for these usual 90 minutes a movie lasts.
just because he died under different circumstances and lead a different life, his death is not any less tragic. same goes for brad renfro who died some days ago. nobody wrote anything about his death except me and no person deserves to die alone and that young, period. and unacknowledged, most of all. nobody.
the reaction his death causes is just proof enough. people loved him, so there. let them.

Well, just as they are allowed to post, I can post about how pointless it is. Good point though, I guess he might have helped someone realise something which means its not a total waste.

I wanted to post "you go girl!"

The issue of people paying more attention to almost-nobody actors and not knowing anything about world changing figures who are assasinated is sad. That IS sad.

70 some years ago, the most devistating issue about world war two was knowing the entire world was fooled by propaganda, convincing millions to fight and die for that propaganda yet Americans are fooled if not distraced every day. That is sad.

I'm sure we'll feel equal loss if that loser in the diet pepsi commercial dies all while the world war three is breaking out.

Yeah... "OMG Nicole Kidman is having a baby!" was all over the news here for a week. So what? There are peeps dying for nothing everywhere, and her getting up the duff is vital news? That and half an hour every afternoon dedicated purely to cricket and sport... Snore. More important things once again!

What a waste. What is up with all these "stars" offing themselves with drugs or whatever. Did he do it on purpose? 'Oh poor me. I am so put upon by everyone.' Who knows? At least Heath and Brad and Anna Nicole and others could have died for something.

*High Five!*

Exactly. Whats the big deal? It doesnt need to be reported every news break for a week, much more exciting and interesting things have happened... News is getting more and more like a gossip and sports magazine.
