Thursday Night Roundup

Jul 17, 2009 23:07

Apparently I'm not good at watching things in a timely manner (but I'm getting better I swear.) Just finished last night's shows, of Burn Notice, Royal Pains and The Listener ('cause I'm watching it on hulu and was too lazy to watch it during the Canadian airing.) My thoughts (and possible spoilers) below:

Burn Notice was alright. I liked the crazy guy, with the alien talk and the conspiracy theories. Took me back to my X-Files days. :) At the end, when Michael and Fi have their talk, I actually finally understood more of Micheal's 'the agency is my life' issues. Though Fi's face at the end made me sad. Poor Fi. :(

Royal Pains. Not bad. The two teenagers are fun. And I think that Divya's whole marriage thing is interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing more about that. The end of that episode totally cracked me up. 'I love you so much'...'I was talking to the car.' :D I'm a sucker for (affectionate) brothers on television.

The Listener. I really don't know what to think of this show. I don't exactly know what's compelling me to watch it other than the fact that I enjoy 'paranormal' shows and the concept of mind reading kind of fascinates me. Last night's episode was 'Iris' and it got me thinking about how the power of suggestion works. I mean, within canon, she could have cured those people or maybe it was just the strong power of suggestion in their minds that convinced them to heal themselves. Or maybe it was all just a hoax. I don't know. I just think it's interesting./strange rambling

Anyway. Family friend left today. Went out for delicious dim sum (with bao and chinese broccoli and general yumminess) and then pineapple bubble tea (mmm). It was very hot today (for Seattle) and I have to work tomorrow. oh well.

food, the listener, burn notice, royal pains, rl
