here comes the sun (and it's hot, damn)

The last week has been both eventful and mundane. And I'm too lazy to do anything other than bullet points because it's too darn hot in Seattle. Seriously, it's been in the 90s all week and I've secluded myself to the basement (as no one in the northwest actually has air-conditioning. We don't usually need it.) So in the last week I:

hi ho hi ho it's off to work we go, concert, torchwood, the listener, leverage, rl

I've already talked to you about the majority of things in this post and I don't watch Leverage yet, so yeah. This is a pointless comment. It's really, really hot. :(

Yes, yes it is. :(

I liked the second episode of Leverage more than the season opener (especially the fact that they're cover was blown for once), but I think both episodes were less fun than the best of season one.

I don't know if I agree with people about the whole killing off of a gay character drama

Oh, please no. First of all, Ianto wasn't gay. And then, I'm no fan of Russell T Davies, but the man created Queer As Folk! They should give him some credit. Accusing him of homophobic decisions like so many did just because he killed off their favourite character (and don't get me started on all the undeserved love for the worst character of that show) is just plain stupid. They should deal with their tiny loss and get off their high horses. Gays are mortal, too.

As far as I know SciFi changed to Syfy cause they wanted a brand, something to market and put on mugs and shirts. Since they can't copyright SciFi, they went for that new little moniker.

Yeah, I keep hoping this season will get better. Don't get me wrong, I love the show, but season one is hard to beat.

the man created Queer As Folk!, yeah, and he's gay himself to boot. I actually liked Ianto, and was saddened by his death, but I do disagree with the whole 'persecution' schtick. Mostly I just wonder what the point of the death was, and what RTD's planning to do in the future. I really hope the death actually affects Jack instead of him just blowing it off after a while, but that's just me.

Gays are mortal, too. As someone who is definitely not straight, I agree with that sentiment. :)

As for the whole SciFi/Syfy thing, mostly I was just annoyed because I heard that they were trying to get away from the 'geeky' image in order to have a wider market and I don't think that's going to work very well. IMO.

LEVERAGE IS AWESOME. I LOVE IT LOTS. but I will be watching the rerun because mom is watching warehouse 13 on ~syfy~

'attract female viewers' ridiculous. Who do they think watches things like Warehouse 13? Women like scifi just as much as men. Silly network execs.

Leverage!! Yeah, I'm watching Warehouse 13 on hulu (because I can't help myself) but that means I can watch it later.

Brandi Carlile and the Indigo Girls ♥ I was totally starry-eyed the entire show. There were adorable dancing children and even more awesome rocking out lesbians. It was awesome!!!
