This line made me giggle: In fact, I am such a morning person now I actually love to beat the sun up in the morning. Wait, let me reword that. I love to get up before the sun does
This is such a lovely, personal yet humorous take. I occasionally deal with insomnia, but not usually chronically, so I feel for you when you describe your earlier pattern. I am not a morning person now - I don't like to be up before the sun is up, but I do think watching the moon set and later sun rise a few times would be meaningful.
I just had a rare weekend morning without any scheduled responsibility and it felt so nice to get up anyway and sneak off to a coffee shop. But I certainly didn't manage to rise before the sun. This prompt has really made me think about sleeping habits, and reading entries today, and I also actually just did another really rare thing for me and took a nap. Morning cheers to you!
Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. I used to love sneaking off to the local coffee shop to sit and write in the corner. In those days I didn't drink coffee, but there is something so wonderfully luxurious about sitting in a coffee shop drinking anything.
It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! Yay! <3
I am neither a morning person nor a night owl, but I relate to your love of the sunrise. When I had a job where I had to be at work at 5:45 AM, seeing the sunrise while I drove to work or shortly after I arrived depending on the time of year, was my consolation for being up so early. :)
