What up it goes? ^_^

Actually, I never thought I'd have to put up one of these pinned/floating posts, but like the walrus said, the time has come. (I still feel rather silly though ... it's not like there's a huge number of people reading this thing in the first place, but I'm certain I'm not going to notice any newcomers unless I stick a post here).

I'm a rather absent minded sort of person (heck, even sleeping sloths are quicker on the uptake than I am) so if you've added me as a friend and want me to add you back, I'm probably not going to notice unless you comment under this post. I'm also a very curious sort of critter, so if you could also put how and why you came here, that would be awesome (though you don't have to if you don't want to).

Commenting under this post is also a good way to get my attention if I owe you anything.

Normally, you'll find me ranting about writing, ranting about life-in-general, and "squeeing" over various fandoms such as Hikaru no Go, Konjiki no Gash Bell, and other various shiny things that catch my attention. Currently, Konjiki no Gash Bell is my biggest (and most embarrassing) fandom.

Most of my personal entries are now under f-lock now ... not because I said anything of real interest there, but because well ... they're actually kind of really boring. Most of them are devoted to craft projects of mine such as the cubee craft or making scarfs. Or the state of my disconsolate tomato plants.

Yeaaaaah. You're not missing much!

As for fanfic, most of my writing is unlocked. The ones that are locked are the ones that are under revision. They're not really good, so you might want to wait until I can get a final version publicly posted. Trust me, my raw fic doesn't exactly make good reading. Just ask mareimbrium.

Also, I think I need to mention that a lot of the fics in the memories are under a private lock and not a friends lock -- mainly because I was away from my main computer at the time, and composing the stories as entries on my LJ became an easy way to make my fics "portable" from computer to computer. So if you're friended and STILL can't get into it ... those are the unfinished pieces I'm still trying to get around. My policy is generally not to post unfinished work, so yeah ... it ain't pretty in there!

Other few bad habits: I'm also notorious about disappearing for weeks on end, and I'm horrible at replying LJ entries, so if it seems like I'm ignoring you, I apologize now in advance ... assume that I'm just being overwhelmed or life has just bitten me on my situpon. I also try to reply every comment, but sometimes, it takes days to weeks.

However, I'm ALWAYS happy to meet other fans... so if you still want to be added, be prepared to be babbled at. I consider this fair warning: it's a little crazy in here sometimes.

Otherwise, it's nice to meet you and I hope you enjoy your stay! ^_^

cheers,
muri
