i still can't believe lux interior died. i am in such denial and i'm listening to the cramps non-stop since last night, which is making me simultaneously happy and sad. i thought of an art piece to do in his honor, now that i'm actually trying to do assemblages, so maybe i will do it. i think i saw the cramps live more than any other band (not ( Read more... )

yeah i think my HS friend had a tape in his car, but before that i had seen their albums, and just new from the cover art that i'd like them, but kept delaying cause i'd never heard them. it was one of those moments of perfect synchronicity or something when i did buy it. or something.

i remember my friend in HS had a glow in the dark "Look Mom, No Head" shirt, and i think she might have been the one to tell me to check them out after i asked her how they were (based on pictures i had seen/album artwork).

now i am way too nostalgic on top of being sad!

yeah, i feel ya on the dedication art. i recently purchased some small wooden shrines that i wanted to make and keep for myself, and last night i thought i should make a small shrine dedicated to him.

yeah normally i wouldn't do something like this, but for him it seems alright. i'd wanna make it kind of big and gaudy i think.

The first thing Wikipedia said was that he died of auto-erotic asphyxiation.
Sad...but I think he would have laughed at it.

I'm with ya. I remember listening to them in high school. I am glad I got to see them in concert at least once. No one could perform like he did.
