i've driven past the salton sea, but that's about it for salty lakes/seas for me. i wanna go back to yosemite anyway, so maybe i can make a whole trip of it.
oh that's right by yosemite and bodie- that huge ghost town that we went to with panther, krista, and adri. i wish they also had wanted to see mono lake. i remember being at the intersection for it asking if we could stop by it quick but everyone else said we should head back. i'm sure you'd love it. it's a super long drive though.
yah i know it's by yosemite...also haven't been there in forever. yosemite isn't too far from my parents'. maybe 2-3 hours...i think the last time i went there was on a field trip in jr. high.
huh. i hadn't thought about it that way. it must be more east from us then. i just thought of it as being to the north, rather than considering a northeasterly thing. i think from the bay area it took 4 hours or something whacked out like that. ;>
oh yeah it's east. pretty much straight east, if you look on a map. merced, the place i went to high school in, the nickname for the town was "the gateway to yosemite", because like, there's nothing else there!
not naturey so much, but i saw guerneville...the drive there was beautiful, the town was tiny. also drove all over the east bay and went thrifting. good times.
