the airborne toxic event - sometime around midnight
i (really) briefly liked this song a lot. i think i like the emotion in the way the guy intones the lines. but, i am an incorrigible lyrics deconstructor and the unimaginative, repetitive rhymes destroyed whatever affection i have for this song. watching this live performance, though, gave me a begrudging respect for it again. i can't imagine having to look that tortured day in and day out every time i had to perform my band's one, solitary hit.
